Harbour House is proud to once again host Kingsbridge Community College’s (KCC) annual exhibitions in March 2026 and June 2026, continuing a highly valued partnership that offers students a professional exhibition experience.

The KCC Sixth Form exhibition opens on Friday 6 March and runs until Saturday 21 March 2026, transforming Harbour House’s public gallery into a dynamic showcase of emerging creative talent. Students will take the lead in curating, installing, and presenting their work across a wide range of media, gaining first-hand experience of exhibiting in a professional, public setting while sharing their work with the wider Kingsbridge community.

Since 2022, Harbour House has worked closely with KCC to provide students with opportunities rarely available at this stage of their education. Through this collaboration, students gain practical insight into every stage of the exhibition process- from concept development and spatial planning to installation, interpretation, and public engagement. Supported by Harbour House’s experienced curatorial and arts team, students are guided through the realities of working in the contemporary arts sector, building confidence, independence, and vital creative skills.

Head of Engagement, Dr Beth Richards shares: “We are delighted to be hosting KCC students and their work at Harbour House again this year. This partnership demonstrates how powerful the exhibition experience can be for young people, giving them a platform to share their voices and develop both critical and creative thinking skills.”

The Sixth Form exhibition forms part of a broader and successful partnership between Harbour House and KCC. Through KCC’s enrichment programme, Harbour House has delivered the Creative Leadership Group, enabling selected students to work alongside practising artists from across Devon and Cornwall. Over the past two years, participants have taken on leadership roles, curating and delivering a series of workshops and exhibitions both in Harbour House and across Kingsbridge.

These student-led exhibitions have included The Great Turning: Tidal Signals, Tidal Cycles (October 2023), Sixth Sense (March 2024), Crepuscular Creatures as part of Kingsbridge Nature Festival (June 2024), KCCreates (June 2024), and Community Programme Exhibition: The Bird and the Rhino (January 2025).

Harbour House is excited to continue developing this partnership with KCC. Future plans include ongoing exhibition opportunities, further collaboration within sixth-form enrichment programmes, and life drawing sessions supported by local contemporary artists. Together, Harbour House and Kingsbridge Community College remain committed to nurturing the next generation of creative talent, equipping students with the experience, confidence, and skills to take their next steps in the world of art.
