Despite the intervention of Cllr Julian Brazil, which I appreciate very much, my 13 emails, three phone calls and multiple assurances of ‘your request has been dealt with’ have still not produced the two resident parking discs I applied for on May 3.

I am told the discs were ­posted on June 29.

South Hams Council has had my miserable cheque for £42 in its coffers since May 7. No doubt if I was caught parking at one minute past four in one of their car parks, I would have heard from them somewhat quicker. I have been told I am one of many who has the same problem.
