EDMUND CRANMER, of Broadstone, Dartmouth, writes:
There seems to have been a poor response to the South Devon & Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group’s ‘Into the Future’ survey.
I understand that just over 1,200 feedback questionnaires have been received from
the area from moor to sea, including Torbay. This appears to have made the whole exercise somewhat expensive.
The result of Dartmouth’s Cottage Hospital Independently Promoted Survey campaign was encouraging. Of the 347 completed forms received, 82 per cent wanted the full Riverview option, seven per cent wanted to keep the existing hospital and 11 per cent wanted part lower town – surgery and clinic – with the remainder at Riverview.
The organisers of Chips would like to thank those who responded to the survey, the result of which has now gone forward to the CCG in the form of a petition.
We shall await the outcome of their deliberations with interest and hope they may view our wishes with favour and enthusiasm. We can but hope.
