Irish folk band, Flook, are performing in Totnes on the 16th November at the Dartington Hall.

Taking inspiration from their roots in the Irish and English traditions, Flook have an enviable trademark sound, weaving and spinning traditionally rooted tunes with a rare blend of fiery technical brilliance. The unique impact of this band stems from the harmony between the various flutes, frets and skins.

Brian Finnegan is on the whistles and flutes, Sarah Allen plays the flutes and accordion, whilst Ed Boyd is on the guitar, and last but not least, John Joe Kelly plays the drum, the bodhrán, pronounced ‘bow-rawn’.

Nearly 28 years after their first gig together, Flook continue to inspire and enchant audiences of all ages. Their most recent album ‘Ancora’, released in 2019 to critical acclaim and was nominated for BBC Folk Album of the year. They were also shortlisted for Best Folk Group in Ireland’s RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards in 2019.
