THE efficiency of the Devon air ambulance has been praised by residents, following the dramatic rescue of an elderly man who suffered a cardiac arrest in Kingsbridge at the weekend.

The air ambulance was called on Saturday after a man in his 70s suffered a cardiac arrest at the filling station in Ilbert Road.

Chris White, who lives at Creekview, Tacket Wood, saw the drama unfold in the field next to his house, Bridge Meadow, off Kingsway Park, and described how quickly and efficiently the air anland ambulances arrived on scene.
