N GOLD, of Victoria Road, Dartmouth, writes:
This new 20p regime is causing great annoyance and confusion to those who use the loos – mostly visitors and the elderly.
Why pick on Dartmouth? The town needs every visitor it can get; so would ‘the powers that be’ kindly reverse this nonsense.
How young mothers and the disabled are expected to cope is beyond comprehension – no blue badge, therefore no ‘Radar’ key, which incidentally is only available from the Guildhall.
This is yet another nail in the town’s coffin and should be abolished forthwith.
I note that Totnes, home to the district council, has been spared – maybe something to do with not making a mess on one’s own doorstep.
