On Saturday club president Bill Purser held his final President’s Day as his five-year reign came to an end.

Bill thanked everyone for their support over the years as well as all 97 players who took part in the competition, making it a memorable one. He then announced that current club captain Mike Tremain will take up the presidency and will hand over the captaincy to his vice-captain.

The conditions for the competition were superb and the course was looking fantastic. There was a strong breeze around throughout the day, but that did not hold back the competitors. The scoring was good and many handicaps were reduced.
