The Uggies proudly displayed their new kit at a friendly on Sunday, December 23, at Paignton Community College.

Thanks to the generosity of the Ship Inn, Ugborough, the boys and girls of the under 9s will look as sharp as their passing in their new strip. Charlie W put in a lively and brave performance as goalkeeper.

Robbie and Ed made their presence known with the ball at their feet. Man-of-the-match went to Sam for his fearless and determined defending.

The team has progressed well this year both in training and in matches against other clubs.

Ugborough Football Club formed in 2007 in order to provide the children of the community and surrounding areas with the opportunity to play football in a fun and friendly environment.

The ethos of the club is to include players of all abilities and ensure that all will get a competitive game if they wish to. In 2011 it was awarded both FA and Regional Charter Standard Marks and has subsequently won County and Regional Charter Standard Club of the Year.

The club trains at 9.30am every Saturday at Ivybridge Community College, with games on Sundays.
