STOKE Gabriel & Torbay Police eased into the third round of the Walter C Parson League Cup with their weekend win.
On Saturday, October 11, they headed to fellow Peninsula League East side Ilminster Town and prevailed courtesy of six different scorers.
Man of the match Ben Aldous got the ball rolling at the Archie Gooch Pavilion with just seven minutes on the clock.
Danny Frankum doubled the Stoke lead just before the half-hour mark, a two-goal cushion that remained intact for the rest of the half.
The Bees have regularly outlasted teams this year, their persistence and desire resulting in late goals.
This was evident once more with Will Hughes, Sean Adderley, Jordan Thomas and Saul Vanes all striking, taking the final score to 6-0.
Stoke’s reward for this victory is a home clash with Torridgeside AFC on Saturday, December 20. Torridgeside beat Holsworthy to advance.
