STOKE Gabriel & Torbay Police returned home from their trip to Cullompton Rangers empty-handed on Saturday, September 5.

Cully are always there or there abouts in the South West Peninsula League and they showed why at Adopstar Park.

The home side raced into a four-goal lead in the first half, two own goals getting them on their way before Josh Coles and Cameron Webb ramped up the pressure.

In the last five minutes, Stoke got one back but it was nothing more than a consolation. There was still time for temperatures to rise though with Cully received a red card and two sin-bins late on as tempers flared.

This defeat leaves Connor Marshall’s side in eighth with an even league record of two wins, two draws and two defeats.

Next up, they visit sixth-placed Middlezoy Rovers at the Ethan Berry Pavilion on Saturday, September 16.
