DARTMOUTH AFC’s Devon Football League Cup journey came to an end on Saturday, October 25.
They welcomed Topsham Town to Longcross and the visitors prevailed 4-1, Ben Maciver-Redwood notching a brace and singles coming from Nathan Blackmore and Tyler Kelly.
It was the home side who got the ball rolling though, writing on Twitter after 36 minutes: “You wouldn’t think he would score from that distance, but he can, Sam Heath with a worldie.”
Topsham rallied back and equalised before the break, then scoring three times in the second half to book their spot in the next round of the competition.
Other ties on Saturday saw Alphington edge out Thorverton, Appledore overcome Plymouth Marjon, Ottery St Mary win away at Bere Alston, Elmore hit Fremington for six and last year’s champions, University of Exeter, put nine past Plymstock United.
Dartmouth are next in action on November 8, hosting Elmore in the league.
