Ever fancied a row in a 32-foot wooden pilot gig?

As part of the Salcombe jubilee celebrations on Monday, June 4, Salcombe Estuary Rowing Club will be taking newcomers to rowing out for taster sessions all afternoon from noon.

The club will be very much part of the town's celebrations with a barbecue, tombola, hair braiding and face painting on Whitestrand Car Park to publicise rowing in Salcombe and raise funds for the purchase of a new rowing boat. They will also have one of their boats, 'Wolf', on display and a competition to guess the number of nails in the boat.

If you would like to come along and try your hand at rowing, either come along on Monday afternoon or if you would like to reserve a place, call Jason on 07866 859634, the club would love to see you.
