Dartmouth's Chris Scorer and the Devon over 60 badminton team saw their three-match unbeaten run in the Masters' inter-county badminton championships come to an end when they were beaten 6-3 by Wiltshire at Torquay, writes Tony Atkins.
After victories over Cornwall (10-2), Isle of Wight (8-4) and Avon seconds (9-3) at Bristol, Scorer and his team-mates had to rely on their four ladies to pick up some points in winning three of the four doubles.
The men struggled and while Scorer and Tony Parker, from Exeter lost out to Riley and Taylor 21-12, 21-9 the Devon duo took Angell and Howard to three ends before going down 21-14, 18-21, 21-7.
Devon lost all four mixed doubles but Scorer and Heather Rake were unlucky not to go to a deciding end against Riley and Willcox 21-19, 21-14.
