After the recent poor weather the Plums welcomed Paignton saints to the meadow.

Dittisham lined up in their favourite 3-5-2 formation, with Robson Chater starting his first game playing at left-back.

Dittisham didn't take long to grab the lead after a foul on the edge of the box led to a free kick which assistant player-manager Dan Bastin dispatched superbly into the top corner.

The Greens seemed to grow in confidence and Sam Bruckner made no mistake soon after in lifting the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper when put through.

Another goal followed before half-time with midfielder Joe Kirby bulleting a header into the net following a corner.

Saints were reduced to ten men early in the second half for a professional foul and it didn't take Bruckner long to capitalise scoring another two to complete his hat-trick and extend his lead at the top of the Plums scoring charts. This was a great team performance as Ditts build up to the league cup quarter-final.

This weekend sees Bovey Tracey thirds visit Shinners Meadow.

The man-of-the-match award went to hat-trick hero Sammy Bruckner.
