On a cold, wind-driven, hail-lashing, Dawlish Saturday morning, where would you like to be?
Watching a brilliant display of hockey, that's where. Only if you were a Dartmouth Hockey supporter though.
Dartmouth's goal scoring, hat-trick maker Lucy Pillar started off the unstoppable Dartmouth onslaught.
Within two minutes Lucy had found the back of the net and Teignmouth could do nothing about it.
The Dartmouth ladies were playing some really good hockey, passing the ball with ease.
Lisa Hunt and Jamie Rendle combined well on the right-hand side, Hannah Pillar and Violet Miller doing the same on the left.
Sam Webb and Sarah Barrett were controlling the mid and the lethal combination of the Edwards sisters, Chloe and Siobhan, kept the ball from reaching Dartmouth's 'keeper Ellie Malley. All that said, Teignmouth hit back with 15 minutes gone with a 'hit and hope'.
Teigns hit the ball from deep in their own half and a lucky flick of a Teignmouth striker sent it past Ellie Malley.
Two minutes later Lucy Pillar was at it again, this time Di Bradley picking the ball up from deep and squaring the ball to Lucy, who dribbled past the oncoming Teignmouth defence and buried the ball in the back of the net, taking the score to 2 - 1 to Dartmouth.
The next goal was poetry in motion.
Most of the Dartmouth players got involved with this one, this time Sam Webb receiving the ball from Sarah Barrett and whacking the ball into the Teignmouth goal, leaving the Teignmouth 'keeper wondering what the heck just flew past her.
With half time approaching all Teigns could do is hang on and they did just that.
With the half time whistle blown the Dartmouth ladies were elated that the game was going so well for them.
Coach Matt Putt made a few changes after half time, bringing off Di Bradley and Lisa Hunt and bringing on Kirsty Bradley and Jess Hill, and it wasn't long before the Dartmouth onslaught got into action.
Lucy Pillar picked the ball up from deep and smashing the Teigns' goal for the third time.
Within a couple of minutes replacement Di Bradley had a goal of her own.
Chloe Edwards took a short corner and the Dartmouth ladies bombarded the Teign defence, before up popped Di on the left post to strike it into the Teign net.
This was a really good all round team performance. Just what Dartmouth wanted with the big test this week against Torbay at Kingsbridge with a 10.30 push back.
Sam Webb received the player-of-the-match award, but there were a few contenders for it last week.
Good luck for this week ladies, and if you play like you have been, Torbay are going to have a game on their hands.
