A NEW lawn bowls season is upon us with Totnes Bowling Club, based in Borough Park, having their opening session on Saturday, April 4.

The two club champions will get proceedings underway at 2pm and there are opportunities for new and experienced players to get involved.

Free practice sessions for anybody to give the sport a go take place on a Saturday morning, between 10am and noon, starting first on April 25.

Totnes BC have teams competing in various team leagues across Devon and there also friendly matches against touring teams from all over the UK.

As well as the weekly practice sessions, there are two days each season where anyone who doesn’t want to commit to weekly sessions can turn up and have a go at any time between 10am and 4pm on either Saturday, May 23 or July 25. Further information available on the club’s website
