Visitors to Kingsbridge Fair Week can look forward to a unique mix of dance, art and community activities as Harbour House welcomes acclaimed choreographic duo Ekleido for a special programme of events.

The week-long programme will include workshops, a live outdoor performance and a gallery exhibition, giving people of all ages the chance to get involved and experience the artists' work in different ways.

Ahead of Fair Week, Ekleido will be working with local schools and running a public lantern-making workshop. The session combines creative craft activities with simple movement exercises inspired by contemporary dance, encouraging participants to explore creativity in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The handmade lanterns created during the workshop will be featured in the Kingsbridge Fair Week Lantern Parade, with participants invited to join the parade and celebrate alongside the wider community.

On the opening day of Fair Week, Saturday 18 July at 4:15- 4:30pm, Ekleido will perform their acclaimed dance piece SPLICE in Kingsbridge Town Square. Created and performed by Hannah Ekholm and Faye Stoeser, the work sees two dancers tackling a moving human puzzle inspired by a Rubik's Cube. Combining contemporary dance with influences from underground club culture, the performance is set to an original soundtrack by internationally renowned electronic musician Floating Points.

Also opening that day at Harbour House is an exhibition showcasing Ekleido's work across dance, film and visual art, pen from 10am - 5pm. Featuring performance films, photography and materials from previous projects, the exhibition offers visitors a chance to explore the ideas behind the company's work and discover how movement can tell stories and communicate without words.

Ekleido, formed by Hannah Ekholm and Faye Stoeser, creates energetic performances inspired by contemporary dance, electronic music and club culture. Their work has been performed nationally and internationally and is known for bringing audiences together through movement, creativity and shared experiences.
