Following the live performance watched by an audience of around 400 people during Kingsbridge Fair Week 2026, Harbour House is encouraging everyone to experience Ekleido, a vibrant exhibition exploring movement, connection and creativity, on display until 26 September.

Around 400 people gathered in Kingsbridge Town Square to watch Splice, a striking contemporary dance performance by choreographic duo Hannah Ekholm and Faye Stoeser. Performed as part of the opening day of the exhibition and Fair Week 2026 celebrations, the free outdoor event transformed the bandstand into a dynamic performance space, introducing audiences of all ages to Ekleido's distinctive movement language.

Now, visitors have the opportunity to step behind the performance and explore the ideas, creative process and collaborations that shaped Splice through the exhibition at Harbour House.

Created by choreographic duo Hannah Ekholm and Faye Stoeser, Ekleido works across live performance and film, combining contemporary dance, underground club culture, electronic music and visual art. Their work explores movement as a universal form of communication, demonstrating how bodies can connect, express emotion and tell stories beyond words.

The exhibition presents a living archive of the duo's practice across three gallery spaces, featuring performance films, large-scale photography, behind-the-scenes material and props from different film sets.

Community collaboration sits at the heart of the exhibition. Throughout the project, Ekleido worked with pupils from Kingsbridge Community Primary School and Kingsbridge Community College, creating workshops that explored movement, mark-making and creative expression. The artworks produced during these sessions are now displayed alongside the artists' work, celebrating the creativity of young people in the local community.

Visitors are also encouraged to become part of the exhibition themselves through a free interactive activity. Inspired by Ekleido's creative process, people can experiment with movement, symmetry and collaboration before using an instant camera to document their own choreographed poses. They can take their photographs home or add them to the exhibition as it continues to evolve throughout the summer.

Harbour House has long been a place where art, creativity and wellbeing come together, making it a fitting home for an exhibition centred on movement, healing and human connection.

The exhibition is free to visit and runs Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–5pm until 26 September at Harbour House, Kingsbridge.
