Kingsbridge Young Farmers has raised £7,000 for charity over the last year.

Under the chairship of Sid Walter-Symons for the last year, the team have hosted their own Young Farmer Glitter Party, Hope Cove Weekend car parking, bingo, big breakfast, cream tea afternoon, carol singing and much more.

Lily Tucker, club secretary, said: “We as a club have worked really hard this year to raise money for charity’s that deserve all the help they can get.”

Kingsbridge Young Farmers have donated £6,000 to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, and £1,000 for Bowel Cancer West, a Westcountry charity that works “tirelessly to ensure the survival rates of people diagnosed with this condition are the highest in the country” and was co-founded by retired South Milton farmer David Darke after his own health scare.
