THE story of the little train returning to Kingsbridge on the front page of last week's Gazette has started a wave of excitement.

We asked people on our Facebook page whether they knew who was on the train in the photo, taken possibly in the summer of 1990.

So far we have found out that Sam Newland is the child at the front with the yellow T-shirt on, possibly followed by his friend Rachel Robins. Natalie Yeoman is the fourth from the front and her mum Jo McMyler is one of the mums on the back.

Phil Hollingworth was also spotted at the front of the ferry Elizabeth with the rope.

Jo reckons this photo was taken in the summer of 1990 and they were all told to wave at the ferry as it went past.
