KINGSBRIDGE Community College's Year 7 rugby team made a clean sweep of matches to become the South Devon Schools Rugby Champions.

In a tournament hosted by Brixham Academy, the KCC team played seven matches and won them all, beating South Dartmoor School 14-0 in the semi-finals and thrashing Torquay Boys Grammar 21-0 for the Champions title.

The team had to start two minutes after arriving after being caught in traffic.

Luckily the cobwebs were blown away as the team set their standard for the day.

It was a fantastic squad effort and they really listened and responded to instructions and feedback all day.

The team were: Troy Kibbler, James Hitchen, Fin Usher, Josh Christopher, Cameron Simons, Henry Blake, Sol Thomas, Bertie Wotton, Olivia Churcher, Ted Slade, Wilf McCarthy, Ben Leetham, Flyn Bewley, Ru McColl, Max Paine, Oscar Chapman, Inigo Jensen and Sam Oxborrow.
