Coast & Country Cottages have joined with businesses from Salcombe and Dartmouth to produce an inspirational video promoting the region as a tourist destination ahead of the 2018 season.

Called #SouthDevonByNumbers, the two minute film is designed to showcase some of the highlights visitors can enjoy during a holiday in this unspoilt region.

The footage features a host of businesses, as well as some fascinating snippets of information about South Devon, like the amount of crab caught in the area each week!

The footage is designed to encourage people to book their first South Devon holiday, and also to offer regular holiday makers a reminder of why they need to arrange a repeat visit soon.

From the 100 local ice cream flavours to try, to basking in the warm weather, there are plenty of reasons to visit!  For walkers there are 190,808 steps on the South West Coast Path just waiting to be explored.

Coast & Country Cottages Marketing Executive Caroline Stephani co-produced the video. She said: “We wanted to show what makes this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so special.

“The footage includes some interesting facts about the region, as well as numerous beauty spots. I think we really captured the essence of this wonderful area.”

Businesses that worked alongside Coast & Country Cottages and feature in the video include Triocean Surf, Dartmouth Steam Railway & Riverboat, The Kids & Co, Avon Mill, Sailfunk, Salcombe Dingy Sailing, Devon Beach Company, Dartmouth Hotel Golf and Spa, Salcombe Distilling Co, Dartmouth Ice Cream, Roly’s Fudge and The Winking Prawn.

In addition to this, the notable beauty spots featured include Blackpool Sands, Thurlestone Rock and Slapton Sands.
