Snowboarders shredding the lanes of the South Hams won best film award at this year’s Aveton Gifford Film Fest.
AG film-maker Wat Kirby snagged the prize with his film from when the Beast from the East struck the area.
Two snowboarders, Wat himself and Rich Thomson, also a Chemistry teacher at Kingsbridge Community College, are featured making the most of the conditions - even turning the village allotment into an obstacle course.
It was the sixth and arguably the best film festival yet in Aveton Gifford from organisers the Surf Hams Film Collective.
Entries from around the area included those from festival stalwarts Dave Hasell, Kate Kreke, Jim Neal, Greg Booth, Stephen Harding, Johnny Morris, Malcolm Le Grice and Mandy Tucker as well as newcomers Forkbeard Fantasy, Spike Chambers, Jack Watson, Orean Larcombe and Alex Neal.
