A national alert has been issued across the UK via the Government national emergency alerting system.
Several fires have been reported across Devon in the past week.
The government warning states there is a very high risk of wildfires.
Residents, landowners and visitors have been told to not partake in any potentially fire starting activity, including using disposable barbecues, fire pits and fireworks.
The message warns that even a small flame has the potential to lead to a major fire.
