Some very special guests visited the Thurlestone Hotel last week.

A selection of Rolls-Royces filled the car park, as they stopped off on a tour of Britain.

A spokesman for Thurlestone Hotel said: “Our car park has never looked so pretty. Yesterday we were delighted to welcome the International Club for Rolls-Royce and Bentley Enthusiasts to the hotel.

“They are here as part of the Round Britain Tour which is a joint celebration of two important events. Firstly it celebrates the remarkable achievement,110 years ago, of the original Silver Ghost establishing a new world record of running without involuntary stops for a distance of 14,371 miles.

“The second reason is to celebrate 60 years of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club.”

The tour is taking a leisurely 18-day clockwise tour through some of the most beautiful scenery in England, Wales and Scotland, working their way down to the West Country.
