The reappearance of scarecrows in a South Hams village can mean only one thing - the primary school summer fayre is nigh.
This year’s fair is taking place on Saturday, June 17 from noon until 4pm at the school, with proceeds as usual going to support pupils’ education.
On offer will be all kinds of entertainment and refreshment for young and old including a licensed bar, barbecue, bouncy castle, high tea, pony rides and much more.
The highlight will doubtless be the judging of the scarecrow contest around 2.30pm and 3pm. With an independent judge from the parish council doing the honours, and prizes for first, second and third place, the competition is sure to be fierce. Keep an eye out around the village and surrounding areas this week for a sneak preview of the entries.
