Carol Lingard, of Old Mill Lane, Dartmouth, writes: Having read the article on the latest decision of South Hams Council regarding the indoor swimming pool at Dartmouth, Chronicle, April 24, I think the district council should play fair. For decades we have been promised an indoor swimming pool and part of the council tax of the householders of Dartmouth and its surrounding villages has been used to subsidise the running costs of the pools in Totnes, Ivybridge and Kingsbridge. Enough is enough: this latest delay takes procrastination to a different level, one too far. Please think again and give the go-ahead for the Dartmouth indoor swimming pool, or I suggest we as ratepayers are compensated in full on our council tax to give back what you have taken from us for other towns to benefit.
