THE fourth Stoke Fleming Scarecrow Trail is taking place in April, with all the regular fun and lots of cake.
The Scarecrow Trail is to be held on Sunday, April 2, between 11am and 4pm. Starting and finishing at the village hall, there will be a barbecue, donations bar, raffle, tea, coffee, and cake!
This fun, family day out in aid of village charities, this year the defibrillator fund and the school, will lead entrants around the village, going to some more ‘off the beaten track’ addresses.
Scarecrows, numbering more than 25 to date, will be displayed in host gardens, shops, pubs and more around the village.
This is no ordinary trail as scarecrows will not only cause a giggle, but will provide a clue to the answer for a quiz question. This year’s theme is TV, film and literature connected to children’s favourites. Entry is just £5 per family of up to five people, or £2 per person.
All creations have been made by local people, organisations and businesses.
There is still time to secure your place at the table top sale too, which is undercover in the village hall for all to enjoy while snacking on a burger or sipping tea and munching cake. Tables are £15 each and if you have a small business you’d like to promote or something to sell please do get in touch.
