Bus services across the South Hams are to undergo a series of timetable and route changes from Sunday, August 30.

Stagecoach South West says the changes are designed to improve reliability and punctuality, with several services affected across Kingsbridge, Dartmouth, Totnes, Torcross and the wider South Hams.

One of the most significant changes will see the Dartmouth-Kingsbridge route renumbered from the 93 to Service 3, providing a direct Plymouth-Dartmouth service via Kingsbridge.

The 93S between Torcross and Kingsbridge will also change to include a new Sunday and bank holiday timetable. Six journeys in each direction will operate on those days, providing additional weekend connectivity for Torcross.

On the Service 81 between South Devon College and Kingsbridge, the 5.30pm Monday-to-Friday college-day journey from Totnes will leave 10 minutes later, at 5.40pm.

The Service 80 between Plymouth and Paignton via Totnes will have minor timetable changes, including adjustments to accommodate connections with Duchy College services.

In Dartmouth, the Service 90 will also be altered. Evening journeys will no longer serve the Park and Ride, instead serving Sainsbury’s as daytime journeys do.

Daytime services will stop serving three bus stops on the Davis Road loop and follow the more direct evening route.

The 11.30pm Monday-to-Friday and Saturday departure from Dartmouth Pontoon will also be extended to Norton Park, following customer requests.

The seasonal Service 91 Dartmouth Park and Ride will continue until September 13, returning for the Dartmouth Food Festival from October 23 to 25 before ending for the year.

The Service 54 between Plymouth and Bovisand will also run until September 6 before pausing until the 2027 season.
