With reference to your letters page of last week, I’m sure I’m just one of very many of Dr Sarah Wollaston’s constituents who has had the benefit of working with her on a local issue.

I have come to realise the value she brings in terms of being able to weigh up a complex issue, contribute thoughtful questions, suggestions and constructive action.

I have no doubt that these qualities are what she brought to bear on her eventual decision over the UK’s relationship to Europe.
