A TEAM from Sabre in Kingsbridge are gearing up the Race for Life’s Pretty Muddy 5k for Cancer Research UK.
After successfully conquering the Race for Life’s Pretty Muddy 5km last year and raising over £3,000 for Cancer Research UK, the team at Sabre, Kingsbridge, have decided to face the challenge again on Saturday, July 23.
Sabre’s Jo Massey said: ‘We all had such a brilliant time and it is such a worthy cause that we decided to run again. We are hoping to raise more than last year!’
The team completed the 2015 course after their colleague and close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. This year, the team of 16 employees and family members are proud to be running alongside that same colleague.
‘The Sabre team are a very close bunch’ said Dale Came, Managing Director. ‘Last year’s muddy run was a very emotional affair for everyone, but to have Louise back at work and taking part in this year’s run will be absolutely fantastic. I hope we can raise some more funding for such a great cause.’
Like last year, ‘Team Sabre’ have set themselves a £1,500 target and would welcome any support through their Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/SabreHind/
From today, supporters can also make donations of up to £10 by texting SABR70 and either 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 to 70070 to make their donation. The text message is free and all of the donation will be passed to Cancer Research UK.
