H STANDING, of Above Town, Dartmouth, writes: What a magnificent attendance at the recent remembrance service in the Royal Avenue Gardens. It was a pleasure to see the many local organisations represented and British Royal Naval College on parade. An excellent turnout that did the town proud. However, some of us were somewhat surprised to note the apparent non-appearance of any representation from the Dart Harbour and Navigation Authority – not even a wreath. Dartmouth's raison d'être is the river (one time home to the Royal Navy, provider of ships for the fleet against the Armada, home of BRNC for over a century etc). One might have thought those in charge of our greatest asset would have made some effort.
