Pat Maylin, of Speakers Road, Ivybridge, writes: I have been complaining to both South Hams Council and Devon County Council for several years about the inconsiderate people who park on the pavements in Ivybridge – usually outside one of the banks or the chemists. However nothing gets done about the problem Much worse, again the subject of very many complaints, is the misuse of the disabled parking bay outside Gribbles the butchers by people who have no blue badge and are clearly not disabled. I have a blue badge and dozens of times I have had to drive all the way round Ivybridge back to the town hall car park and walk all the way back again just because there are inconsiderate idiots parking in the disabled bay while they go to the chip shop (every single evening) or use the bank or dry cleaners. I have stood there and watched them. On one occasion, after complaining to one young lad as he came out of the chip shop, he was most abusive to me.
