After her sell-out show at the Flavel four years ago the wonderful Gabrielle Ducomble is returning to Dartmouth by popular demand.
Gabrielle is touring the UK promoting her third album of Parisian-style jazz and tango music.
She sings her own original material, putting a contemporary jazz spin on songs by Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Michel Legrand and Astor Piazzolla with charm and elegance.
Belgian born, Gabrielle’s talent was recognised back in 2003 when she reached the final of French ’Pop Idol.’ She then went on to study jazz at the Guildhall, and now performs with her own band and top orchestras in addition to touring and making television and radio appearances.
She has performed, often to sell out audiences, at EFG London Jazz Festival, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Royal Festival Hall with Aurora Orchestra and at many other top London venues including Ronnie Scott’s upstairs and the Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho.
She is renowned for her pure, beautiful voice, which effortlessly combines sophistication and powerful emotion.
Gabrielle and her band will be appearing at the Flavel at 7.30pm on Saturday, October 6.
