A man has pleaded guilty to raping a woman at a flat in Totnes in November 2024.

Lukasz Gaudyn, 42, of Palace Avenue, Paignton, pleaded guilty to raping a female aged over 16 when he appeared at Plymouth Crown Court on September 15.

The plea came after several delays to the case, reportedly due to difficulties securing legal representation.

Mr Gaudyn’s existing bail conditions remain in place, with an electronic tag added and a curfew imposed between 19:00 and 07:00.

He is also prohibited from having direct or indirect contact with the victim or anyone under the age of 18, and must reside at his stated address.

Judge Linford ordered that Mr Gaudyn be sentenced at Plymouth Crown Court on October 15.
