The streets of the Lower Town, Dartmouth, are in dire need of regular attention to remove litter, weeds and other mess.

We live in Southtown and find that both Southtown and the roads and pavements leading back into the town, especially past the Cherub pub, for instance, are strewn with rubbish. The mechanical cleaning deviceis of minimal value because of parked cars and other obstructions

We regularly travel around South Hams and Torbay and have observed that Dartmouth has significantly more littering and dog mess than elsewhere, so something clearly needs to be done.

We need more street sweepers.

I believe many people would be willing to contribute towards funding street sweepers if there was a published route and schedule of street cleaning they would undertake.
