In this week’s Kingsbridge & Salcombe Gazette, we lead on a story about a planning application for a proposed extension of a manure store has raised concern among nearby residents about about the effect it could have on their clean water supply.
Our picture story is of crew members from Hope Cove Lifeboat after they had received oxygen tank resuscitation training in order to better serve casualties.
The crew recently acquired oxygen cylinders for use with the people they rescue, but were unable to use it until they were properly trained.
Inside, we have details about the Totnes man who was killed in Buckfastleigh last week after a tree fell onto his car.
We also report on plans to start up a seaweed farm in Start Bay. The farm would be the first of its kind, and could produce biofuels, medicines and bioplastics.
As always, we feature information about ’What’s On’, around the clubs, and ’Village Voices’ all inside.
