This week we lead on a South Brent NHS campaigner who has died, although his fight for NHS care workers and the health service followed through right until the end.
Nigel Charles made national headlines at the end of 2016 when he highlighted the underfunding and cuts in the NHS.
Our picture story shows Modbury Parish Council participating in the recent Merchant Navy Day by flying the Red Ensign.
We also report on a petition that the Liberal Democrats have made asking Conservative councillors at SHDC to reveal the development sites that are being considered behind closed doors in Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Ivybridge and Totnes.
Both of these stories, and much, much more inside, including the love story of a well-known South Brent couple who are celebrating their ’Golden’ anniversary this week.
