Local residents have come out with spades and shovels to help clear Fore Street for vehicles.

Wayne Grills, Pizza Planet, put out a plea on social media for help as he started clearing the road himself at around 8am. Quickly, more than six local residents came out to help, making sure deliveries could get through to Fore Street.

Wayne said: "As always in Kingsbridge, there are people willing to come and help others when things get a bit harder. Hopefully this will make the lives of people living and working on Fore Street a bit easier."He thanked Julie from The Trading Post, Trevor and Hazel from Donovan's, Adam from Habit, Kathy from Pizza Planet, a local resident called Richard and "a couple of others whose names I can't remember".

Faith in humanity restored.
