Brian Parker, of Cross-parks, Dartmouth, writes: I half expected that my previous letter on this matter would have been my last. There is a reasonable expectation that anyone of normal sense and sensibility, who has had their reputation shredded in these pages, would lie low. But not Brian Boughton. In writing again he characteristically makes yet another mistake of misinterpretation that I must correct before it becomes a common misunderstanding. He has clearly jumped to the conclusion that I am a practising Christian. That is pure supposition and quite wrong. I do not subscribe to any theism or atheism – this latter being the same in a different cloth. The reason I have taken arms in this matter is that I cannot stand idly by while good people are harassed by Boughton's nasty, vicious verbal, physical and written abuse. It seems from his letter that he intends to continue in this way. If so, it can be readily predicted that he will be in very serious trouble indeed.
