Lucy Sarjeant, of Vincents Road, Kingsbridge, writes: I would just like to thank everyone involved in the Kingsbridge Community College Year 11 after prom party. It was a tremendously enjoyable occasion which was very successful and organised extremely well. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, dancing and chatting to people I may not see in a long time or hadn't had the chance to speak to before. It brought the whole year group together in one night and was definitely worth it. The celebration was a perfect way to commemorate the end of five long and challenging school years. Prom is a lovely event and is a formal way to meet your friends and dress up; whereas having a party after this event is a more relaxed and exciting way to celebrate the end of GCSE exams. It was a chance to say goodbye to people moving on to college or other schools, without the fuss of walking in heels and smudged make up. We apologise if the music was too loud for some people, but it wasn't that loud in the heart of the party and we didn't realise the distress that we may have caused to the residents of Kingsbridge. Rest assured, this was just one night of the year.
