Ian Stuart, of 30 Tarnway, Lowton, Warrington WA3 2QJ, writes:
I have recently been researching my family history and was reminded of summer holidays, in my childhood, spent in South Brent with my grandparents.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who remembers Thomas and Martha Stuart, who lived in a cottage which is now part of the Pack Horse Hotel, and later in a pre-fab nearby. Thomas worked as a postman in the village in the late 1950s. His son Joseph, I believe, was landlord at the Pack Horse.
Thomas's daughter, Rose Pocklington, lived with her family in Clarence House during the same period.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone who remembers any of them or from any Stuart living in South Brent or surrounding area. I can be emailed at [email protected]">[email protected].
