A member of the Dartmouth Healthcare Action Group(DHAG) is calling for people to come forward with their experiences of the healthcare in the town.
Linda Goss, a member of the action group is hopeful the recording of stories can show the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and the South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group the danger the area is in without a hospital in Dartmouth.
Linda Goss, said on the DHAG Facebook page: “I want to catalogue your stories accurately, so we can clearly demonstrate to the CCG and the Trust how much difficulty and danger they have put us in.
“What is important is that we put on record, precisely, the dire results of the Trust’s actions.”
Linda said she is very aware that many people have been put through “tremendous hardship, pain and suffering” but the CCG continue to push forward its conviction that the care in the community “is working”.
“Please help us gather the detail of all this-it is you we are fighting for. I want to gather a full picture of the result of closing our hospital and minor injuries unit and the devastating effect it has had on our community.”
Linda will be at the Flavel Church on Tuesday if you would like to speak to her. Alternatively, her contact details are available on the DHAG Facebook page.
