ALEX Peguera Sosa's life has been celebrated by friends and peers at Kingsbridge Community College, who all turned out in football kit. The 17-year-old sixth form student's death in the early hours of Sunday, July 6, prompted his fellow pupils to raise money in his memory. Ollie Stainton, Ben Tapper and Cameron Day came together to tell us what it meant to the students: 'Alex was incredibly passionate about football, seeing everyone in football shirts would have made him very proud. 'The money donated is going towards grass roots football, which provides young people with opportunities to enhance their footballing goals. 'Alex would have benefited from this in his time as a young player, and it seems fitting that the opportunities he received are still available for the next generations. 'The fact that the entire year pulled together in such a respectful manner truly shows how much he was loved.' Tina Graham, head of sixth form at the college, said: 'We are trying to healthily remember Alex and smile together.'
