Kingsbridge Community College is “proud” to celebrate another year of “excellent” results in the Sixth Form.

In a year where most subjects have now undergone reform and are therefore more challenging and rigorous, it is impressive that results continue to provide students with access to some of the most prestigious institutions and exciting opportunities.

In particular, one student thoroughly deserved three A* grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Chemistry and is now going to Cambridge University to study Computer Science.

Another sixth form student succeeded in managing the intense workload of four A-Level subjects, something which only a few students now do nationally, and achieved two A* grades, an A grade and B.

Another student achieved four A-Levels with an A in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and History and as such has met the high requirements needed to study Biological Sciences at Durham University.

Student Charlie gained a well-earned and impressive A* in English Literature and French as well as an A in Drama.

Sixth form student Elaina gained an A* Biology and A grades in Chemistry and Maths and therefore will be moving to London to study Medicine at University College London.

Another student has secured her place at the University of Bath as a result of her A* grades in Art and Geography alongside an A in PE Studies.

Isobel, Edward, Kai and Georgie all should be recognised for achieving A*, A, B as well as Jack and Annabel for A, A, A grades.

The Director of Sixth Form, Rob Crocker, said: “We are incredibly pleased to have another year of success, where our young people who have worked relentlessly to achieve great results in a time of challenging qualification reform.

“To see so many students celebrating brilliant outcomes with their friends and family helps to remind us all of the value of hard work, perseverance and resilience.

“This is a wonderful celebration of the entire Sixth Form community where students, staff and families have all worked together to provide phenomenal levels of support and dedication.

“We would like to wish all students the greatest of successes in their future endeavours and know that they will be in the strongest of positions to enjoy the many opportunities afforded to them upon leaving the Sixth Form.”
