SEA rescues were brought to life when children from Kingswear Primary School visited a lifeboat station.

Pupils from the Otters class were guests of the Brixham RNLI. They had learned about the work of the RNLI, its volunteers and the boat itself. They did drawings of different boats and thought up questions beforehand.

Once at the lifeboat station, the children had the chance to see and try on the clothes worn on a rescue, look around the station and finally they got to go on board and see what it is really like inside a lifeboat.

A school spokesman said: ‘Many thanks to Barney and all at the RNLI for giving the children this wonderful learning opportunity.’
