VIDEO: “Crufts has left now we can get on with planning” said Mayor of Dartmouth, Councillor Richard Cooke, after the majority of the public had left Dartmouth Town Council meeting where it was hoped the future of an annual dog show would be discussed.

The public seating for the monthly Dartmouth Town Council meeting held at the Guildhall last night was taken by 33 members of the public, who came to hear about Woofstock UK, the Community shop and the opinions of the council.

Prior to the meeting, Dartmouth Town Council responded positively to a request to put the Woofstock UK dog festival on the agenda for the full council meeting but then reversed its decision without any explanation. At the meeting, the question was asked: “Is the council willing to have a vote in favour of Woofstock?”
