PHYL JOHNS, of Sanderspool Cross, South Brent, writes: MAY I through your paper thank the staff of Willow House residential care home for the elderly. My husband has been there three years and four months and has been well looked after. He will soon be 98 years old and it will be so special to us. We have just had our 71st wedding anniversary. Amanda and her staff asked myself, Arthur and our family to come down for a party to celebrate. We had a lovely day on October 12. We had roast pork and ­everything in the vegetable department. Fresh strawberries and cream trifle and then Ruth, their chef, made us a lovely chocolate cake. Champagne for all and other drinks. Amanda and the staff arranged it all. We are nobody special. We are always treated with respect. You always hear so much in the media about anything wrong, but it's good to hear about something nice for a change. This place was always good, but new owners have done so much to the gardens etc that it's even better. So thank you Amanda and all the staff for your genuine ­feelings and help you give to all residents and visitors.
