Officer cadets for Royal Fleet Auxiliary Service raised £640 selling cakes and red noses.
Comic Relief was founded in 1985 by the comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Lenny Henry in response to famine in Ethiopia.
The biennial telethon, which alternates with sister project Sport Relief, raised £78million in March. as thousands of groups like the BRNC’s cadets all pitched in on Red Nose Day.
