Five miles from shore and no power, a powerboat gets help from the RNLI.

A small power boat with 3 adults on board had engine problems near the Skerries in failing light. The Coastguard sent the Dart inshore lifeboat and the Salcombe Tamar Lifeboat to help.

The engine problem was intermittent and the boat managed to reach the mouth of the Dart where it was met by the Dart crew. The lifeboat escorted them to a safe berth at the Noss Marina.
